The Flamingo was fun, but it wasn't a good fit.All the flight-inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. If I go back to Vegas, I would likely go elsewhere.
#FLAMINGO VEGAS WINDOWS#
I suppose it was still better than the party the Mexican restaurant next door started at 3am our first night, which shook the windows on the 23rd floor and prompted our room change to the 19th floor. But when we were resting in our 19th floor hotel room in the heat of the afternoon, we were treated to the daily pool party, complete with window vibrating bass.
#FLAMINGO VEGAS PLUS#
It would have been nice to take a dip about 7pm when the sun was gone because oh, it was 100 plus every day of our stay. Which is why we didn't know the pools were only open from 9am to 5pm, required a room key and a valid ID.
#FLAMINGO VEGAS TV#
But the online TV "directory" had no information either. It's a touch point in a high turnover establishment. But you don't know it will happen because there's no fact sheet about the hotel in the room. You get nickled and dimed for everything. Which leads me to: the $15 delivery fee to bring the package into Bell Services and the $5 Bell Services fee to walk the package to our room, despite our readiness to grab it and go. So we ordered a small 4 cup maker and coffee from Amazon which paid for itself(we didn't rent a car and didn't plan to find a department store). The earliest we could get coffee was 6am in the lobby and at $7 or $8 a cup, it was way overpriced. Being early risers, and having to catch a bus for a day trip at 5:45am, it was a drawback.
Unfortunately, no Vegas hotels appear to have coffee makers. The plusses were it is centrally located on the Strip in the heart of the action, there was a lot of dining and shopping nearby and it has a storied past. However, I will never stay at or recommend the Flamingo again. After three weeks of calls and written complaints to The Flamingo, Macy in Guest Services finally called me and comped the resort fees. I asked if they would comp the resort fees and he said he would have to check and he would call me back within the hour (when I was going to check out).
He was not nice and kind of snickered and said "No!!" On check out morning I told the reservation manager on duty about the problems and asked if they would comp the room. Three hours of time wasted that could have been spent eating and gambling. I had to call maintenance to repair the safe, housekeeping to get enough bedding, toiletries and linens for 3 people. The shower had black mold at the top and threshold.
So my friend and I were stuck with Room 22107 and I soaked my fee in two trash cans that I moved into the shower. Despite the signs all around the lobby that said Room Upgrades Available, the manager told me they were booked solid and could not give me another room. She sent the Housekeeping Manger to look and that manager told her she could not see a tub. Went back to reservation desk and a different manager kept say yes, that Went to reservation counter and manager told me only the upper floor suites have tubs.Rebooked me into Room 22107 which he assured me had a tub. The first room had no tub and the phone didn't work. Soak my feet each night (bunions/blisters). Neopolitan suite for the extra space and website said it had a tub, which I need to
I'm a Platinum member.I booked this trip (6/29-6/30) in April 2022 for me and two friends. I have been staying at the Flamingo each year for the past 16 years.
